As spring approaches, we want to take time to remind our parents to visit with your children about safety. The weather is warming up and many students walk or ride their bikes to school during this time of the year. Please take this opportunity to remind your child(ren) to be aware of their surroundings and encourage them to travel in groups to ensure safety from those they may not know. Additionally, remind them to report anything that causes them concern to a trusted adult. Student safety is a top priority in Lewisville ISD and together, we will keep our children safe.

In the event of bad weather, we must consider the safety of all 53,000 students in our 127-square mile district when making decisions about school closures. LISD administrators will determine school cancellations based on the safety of all students district-wide.
